My Moves Matter Website Privacy Notice

My Moves Mattter  (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) takes its responsibilities under applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation and implementing legislation

(“Data Protection Law”) very seriously.  The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the data relating to you that we may collect and use and the uses (including disclosures to third parties) we may make of your data in connection with this website.

 

The Company is the controller in respect of your data and is registered under registration number       725514 and has its registered office at 15 Fortfield Drive Terenure, Dublin  6W, Ireland.

1. Personal Data that we collect and process

We collect and process personal data relating to you in connection with your use of this website and our relationship with you. This personal data may include the following information that we collect directly from you:

  • any other personal data relating to you that you provide to us or that we generate about you in connection with your use of this website.

  • Payment information if required for certain services

2. Website Usage Data

We use a monitoring application to collate and analyse certain statistical information about the use of this website. When you visit our website, the following information is retained about that visit:

  • your IP address;

  • your web browser type and version;

  • your operating system; and

  • a list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on our site and the site you exit to.

No attempt is made to identify individual users or to associate the technical details listed above with any individual.

 

3. Store, use, share and disclose website visitors personal information on WIX

Our company is hosted on the WIX.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide our services to you. Your data may be stored through WIX.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. WIX stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

  • If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Wix stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

  • All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

  • PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

  • Content relevant to Parkinsons Disease such as blogs, newsletters, e-books, recipes, courses

  • Content for the My Moves Matter community

  • Progress updates, invitation to presentation of newly available features on the My Moves Matter Mobile App

  • Content helping you to better manage fluctuations in symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease

  • Provide new research result in the area of Parkinson’s Disease

  • Invitation to surveys helping to improve our understanding of needs for woman with Parkinson’s Disease.

  • Information on new clinical pilot studies which we are doing related to the My Moves Matter Mobile App

  • Communicate any changes in these Privacy Notice

The legal basis on which we process your personal data in this circumstance is your consent. We will not process your personal data if to do so would constitute an unwarranted interference with your own interests, rights and freedoms.

 

5. Recipients of Data

We will not disclose your personal data to other organisations.

We will not hold your personal data for longer than is necessary. We retain your personal data for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this notice, or to comply with our obligations under applicable law and, if relevant, to deal with any claim or dispute that might arise between you and us.

 

6. Transfers Abroad

In connection with the above we may transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area, including to a jurisdiction which is not recognised by the European Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection for personal data as is provided for in the European Union.

If and to the extent that we do so, we will ensure that appropriate measures are in place to comply with our obligations under applicable law governing such transfers, which may include entering into a contract governing the transfer which contains the ‘standard contractual clauses’ approved for this purpose by the European Commission or transferring your personal data pursuant to binding corporate rules.

 

7. Your rights and how to update your information

You have the following rights, in certain circumstances and subject to certain restrictions, in relation to your personal data:

  • Right to withdraw your consent – Where our processing of your personal data is based on you having provided your consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent.

 

Please note that these rights are not absolute, and are subject to certain restrictions and exemptions.  For example, the right to erasure of personal data will not apply where we have a legitimate reason to continue to hold such data.
